Record Growth on the Riverfront - Courier Mail Home
A new selection of riverfront apartments has been released at the $260 million Waters Edge development in vibrant West End.
Developer Pradella has launched 32 spacious units as part of the Riverfront collection, with prices starting from $1.795 million.
Apartments feature three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate multi-purpose room and study, with 180 degree views across the Brisbane River to the urban landscape of Toowong.
Among the layouts on offer in the new collection is the new collection is the three-bedroom Type A floorplan (featured).
With sweeping views, this unit type offers flexibility and sophistication with 188sq m of living space.
Designed by architects ML Design, the apartment features C-Bus automation for light control, ducted airconditioning and a generous balcony.
Quality fittings include stone benchtops, Zucchetti tapware and state-of-the-art Gaggenau kitchen appliances.
Pradella development manager Brett Lentz said the new Riverfront Collection release offered a strong investment opportunity.
“Recent research indicated that Brisbane’s inner city riverfront apartment market records an annual growth rate that outperforms the non-riverfront apartment market,” Me Lentz said.
“The Riverfront Collection truly encompasses sub-tropical living at its best and offers direct frontage to the river’s edge and sweeping river views.”
Figures from Resolution Research show the median price of riverfront apartments in Brisbane grew by 53.6 per cent between 2003 and 2009, compared with 43 percent for non-riverfront apartments.
ML Design executive chairman Bevan Lynch said the apartments at Waters Edge had been planned to capitalize on the river location.
“There are very few new developments in Brisbane that offer such outstanding river views so close to the city and we were very careful to ensure the excellent location was complemented in our design,” Mr Lynch said.
“For example, we softened the façade form by the use of gentle curved balustrades to accentuate the reference to water’s edge.”
Waters Edge will feature 4000sq m of waterscaped grounds and a range of recreation facilities including lagoon wading pools, outdoor kitchen and barbecue shelters and an infinity edge lap pool.
A furnished Riverfront Collection display apartment, along Riverside Drive, is now open from 10am to 4pm.
Construction on the first stage of Waters Edge, the 122- unit Reach precinct, is due for completion in November.
